Green Leaders Join EcoChat TONIGHT @8pm CST

Two green leaders profiled in Cafe Magazine's green issue- "Walk on the Green Side"- will be joining me for EcoChat right here at 8pm CST. We'll also hear from Cafe's Editor-in-Chief about the next issue and what's cooking for the Cafe staff this summer. See you there!

Alejandro Riera, Editor-in-Chief, Cafe Magazine
Alejandro began his career in Hispanic media in 1988, when he worked with a group of producers to launch "Orgullo Latino", a weekly news magazine series in the Chicago Access Network. From there he went on to work as a reporter for ¡Ã‰xito! - a local, Spanish-language weekly publication - and made his way up to Senior Editor as it transitioned to a daily newspaper called Hoy. Now he heads the editorial staff at Cafe Magazine, a landmark Chicago publication written for the acculturated Latino population.

Rosalinda Sanquiche, Executive Director, Ethical Markets
Originally from Puerto Rico where she grew up appreciating sustainable living, Rosalinda now resides in Miami, FL, and helps promote triple bottom line business -people, planet, profit -through her work at Ethical Markets, an independent media company with a mission to promote the emergence of a sustainable, green, more ethical and just economy worldwide. Aside from her work, Rosalinda also serves on the board of EthicMark and the Institute for Sustainable Living.

Juan Parras, Founder, Texas Environmental Justice Advocacy Services (TEJAS)
As the Founder of TEJAS, Juan Parras works to ensure that no community is overburdened by environmental hazards or toxins created by polluting industries. He has served as a community outreach coordinator, an international union representative for the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees Union (AFSCME), and as a Community organizer and Project Coordinator at the Environmental Law and Justice Center at Texas Southern University.
